Saturday May 23 Racing Review – Horses to Follow

Flemington

Immortal Love – the Snitzel 2-year-old blew them away and ran to 79 off her race rating of 63. She has been re-handicapped to 70 so should be followed wherever she goes.

Roccabascerana-South Australian 3-year-old that a on the wrong part of the track but still blew away a handy field. Ran to 79 of his rating of 73. Has been taken to 78 so he will need to elevate again, and we expect he can.

Randwick

Witherspoon – not the sort of horse we normally follow but she ran to 84 off her mark of 75. She has been assessed at 81* so she also grabbed the attention of the handicapper. She raced with synthetic hoof filler in both fronts, so the wet track is important.

Eagle Farm

Supergiant – Won the Gunsynd Classic in a close finish after leading all the way. Ran to 82 off 69 and has yet to be given a new mark. Do not underestimate this Red Giant 3-year-old.

Potro Duro – An All Too Hard 4-year-old with a good inning record. Ran to 82 off his mark of 72. The change around in form comes through new trainers and blinkers. Only taken to 76 by the handicappers so happy to be on board next start.

Belmont Park

Resortman – Did not over impress to the eye but ran to 74 of his mark of 67. Taken to 71 so no damage done from the win. The mile could be the question mark going forward.

Freezemoff – Big win from the Frost Giant mare. She ran to 83 off her mark of 74 in a 78 handicap so she has been smacked hard to 83. The staying races look thin but she can keep winning.
