The Boston Celtics have taken a 2-0 series lead over the Cleveland Cavs with a come from behind (94-107) win at TD Gardens.
After LeBron James exploded for a 21-point first quarter the Celtics hung in to get the margin back to seven points at the main break.
A dominant (22-36) third quarter by the Celtics led by a re-energised Terry Rozier with 14 points, set up the win and then Al Horford came home hard down the stretch to seal the win in a fiery encounter.
The Cavs ended the match with better percentage shooting from the field 46 to 43 % and identical from the three at 32%.
But they had 12 less shots a result of the excellent team defence from the Celtics.
Game 3 from Cleveland is set for Saturday morning (Aus).
“It was another great team effort from the Celtics who were a massive $17 for the Championships after they won Game 1.” NBA analyst Max Martin writes. “They are now $11 which is still too big. They have the Cavs measure and will win one of the next two matches. We have liked them 4-1 for this series so they will be in the big dance.”
It was a good result for SBM members who could’ve hit as high as $5 in live betting. Before the match the best bet was around the 1.97 mark and again they covered the spread.”
